Bishopsbourne Station from cast iron road overbridge, crossing the trackbed. The station is a beautiful house. Bridge to Bishopsbourne section of embankment. This stretches about 3/4 mile before entering a cutting, followed by Bourne Park Tunnel and then Bishopsbourne. Railway Overbridge number 2. Just out of Bridge station (going towards Bishopsbourne) the line crossed two roads. The first was on a cast iron bridge, only the brick abutments are remaining. This is the second road just a short distance after the first. The embankment is very high here and the bridge survives intact. It's very well built. The second photo of this bridge demonstrates it's height compared to a land rover. Photos Courtesy Of David Breaker Copyright © 2004 Skullclamp Creations. All rights reserved. |
