Walked the trackbed between Tenterden Town staion, the northern limit of the Kent & East Sussex Railway and Headcorn, where the line used to run north to another mainline connection.  Closure was in 1954 and track was lifted in 1955.  It would seem that a strong financial case exists for this reinstatement.  There is a significantly higher population in the area now, and much commuting from Tenterden to Headcorn by road, for train journeys to London.  There are many caravan parks in the area, several witinn walking distance of the trackbed.

The trackbed is astonishingly clear for most of the distance and there are no signficant engineering obstacles, apart from demolition of a bungalow!
